Ashes



bursts of emotion
splashed across the page
mingling with tears
of passion

lives shattered by words
of wrath spilled over
in an unintentional
firework show

small earthquakes surge
through my skin as I
long for arms enclosing me
sweet kisses calming the
coals turning into ashes
